Restoration of mosaics is mostly limited to cleaning and reinforcing the remaining parts, so that the image is visible. Some small pieces of coloured stones are replaced, but most of the damage caused over time is left to preserve the archaeological record. This work is being done at the Interdepartmental Workshop restoration of mosaics and wall paintings of Saint-Romain-en-Gal, France.REFERENCEAKG3141106SourceScience Photo LibraryCrédit PhotoScience Photo Library / akg-imagesFichier image5197px × 3425px (50 MB) 44.0 cm × 28.9 cm @ 300 dpiAjouter à la sélection: 'My First Lightbox'Ajouter au panierDownload
