Naumburg Cathedral
Naumburg Cathedral in Saxony-Anhalt has been declared a World Heritage Site. In the third attempt, the application was finally successful. Before the High Medieval landscape on Saale and Unstrut was always part of the application.
The Gothic cathedral of St. Peter and Paul is one of the most important cathedrals of the European High Middle Ages. Today's Protestant church is known primarily because of the life-size founder figures of the Naumburg master from the 13th century. Especially famous among them is the Margravine Uta von Naumburg.
