1945 - Zero Hour
The year 1945, or "Zero Hour", represents a chasm in the history of Germany and Europe.
On 8 May 1945 Germany signed an unconditional surrender, marking the end of the Nazi regime and the beginning of a new Europe.

11 April 1945 Liberation of Buchenwald concentration camp by US forces.

8 May 1945 Total surrender of Germany / Day of Liberation

17 July - 2 August 1945 - Potsdam Conference

6 August - 9 August 1945 Atomic bombs dropped on the Japanese cities of Hiroshima and Nagasaki

2 September 1945 - Japan surrenders

20 November 1945 - Beginning of the Nuremberg Trials "Crimes against Humanity"
