Alain Delon, born on November 8th, 1935 in Sceaux (Île-de-France), is considered one of the greatest stars of French and European cinema. In 1957, he made his debut in a film, in which he played a murderer in a supporting role. The basis for his image with the cinema audience was laid. With films like ”Rocco and his brothers", “Purple Noon”, "Le Samourai" and "La Piscine" he became the epitome of smart masculinity. He later also began directing and produced more than 20 films. His relationship with Romy Schneider in the early 1960s also made international headlines.
